Missing Child Near Kenyon Found Safe

(ABC 6 NEWS) -- Authorities say, the child that went missing from her home in rural Rice County Tuesday Evening has been found safe. 

The Rice County Sheriff's Office says, 4-year-old Sawyer Ruby Rose Hanson was located near her families home in a field early Wednesday morning.

She has since been returned.

The Rice County Sheriff's Department is thanking all the volunteers and public safety agencies that assisted in her search and responded to the alert.

(ABC 6 News) -- Authorities are searching for a child missing from her home in rural Rice County.

4-year-old Sawyer Ruby Rose Hanson was playing in the yard with her brother and father shortly before disappearing from her home at 20303 Lamb Ave. in Nerstrand on Tuesday evening.  She was wearing a purple Peace Luthern school t-shirt, blue jeans with holes in the knees and pink sandals.

Nerstrand is about 10 miles northwest of Kenyon and 10 miles east of Faribault.

According to the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, she is known to chase cats into the cornfield on the family farm and may be lost.
