(ABC 6 News) - According to the Minnesota Department of Transportation, there are multiple temporary road closures in southeastern Minnesota due to high water on the roadways.
MnDOT said the following highways are closed as of 10:30 a.m. Thursday:
Water on the roadways has also been reported at Interstate 90 east of Austin, Highway 74 74 south of I-90 and Highway 52 north of Cannon Falls.
MnDOT is cautioning motorists that other highways could be closed as well as the rain continues along with heavy snowpack melt.
They're reminding drivers to not drive around barricades or into flooded areas and that if a road is closed it is illegal to travel in that area and could result in a fine and/or jail time.
