(ABC 6 News) - Two Mayo Clinic doctors are back at it by spreading positivity with their rendition of John Lennon's, "Imagine."

Recently, Dr. Elvis Francois and William Robinson sat down at the piano after their shifts ended and performed the classic.

The two have gone viral before, even appearing on The Ellen Show in 2018, but Dr. Francois said going viral this time is different. On Thursday, a nurse in Italy contacted him to say she has shared the video with patients.

"So many times in life things are separating us and dividing us and this was an opportunity for us to really come together and the only way we are really going to get through this is together," Francois said. "That song in particular really speaks to finding a way to  to remove all of the points of division."

During this time when there's so much uncertainty, Dr. Robinson said this video can humanize those in white coats and scrubs, while also creating hope.

"The moral of our message in the song we recorded is not doing it for yourself but doing it for others," Robinson said. "A message of try to be humble, try to be selfless, try to be a person of the world, do your part to protect your fellow neighbor, your fellow man."

While they've captured many through their performance, the doctors also shared what it has been like in the midst of the pandemic.

"It's been pretty challenging across the board, but it's sort of been all hands on deck," Francois said. Adding that the beauty has been seeing, "nurses, physicians, allied health staff everyone coming together to do their part. It's pretty beautiful everyone puts the patient first. That's the only way to get through this thing."

Robinson went on to say, "there is no playbook. So, everyone is figuring it out together, which is nerveracking, because we don't know what to do but it's encouraging because everyone can band together and be patient and figure out a plan to beat this thing."
