(ABC 6 News)-Mayo Clinic Health System held a luncheon for the volunteers who lend a helping hand in three major programs.
It's the one formal time during the year that all three programs get together to celebrate and recognize the volunteers and their contributions to Mayo Clinic's patients, visitors, and staff.
Nearly 1,600 volunteers that attended, ranged in different ages from 14 to almost 100 years old.
"It's fulling for yourself as well it helps you to become a more well-rounded person you're able to give back and to put others in front of yourself,” said Lisa Brink, Manager at the St. Mary’s Campus for Mayo Clinic Volunteer Programs.
