VIDEO: MinnMed founder talks about medical marijuana for chronic pain & other treatments

(ABC 6 NEWS)--   The Health Commissioner in Minnesota announced the expansion of the medical marijuana list of conditions that will be qualified to be treated. Those conditions will now include, chronic pain and glaucoma.

 There is also new ways in which people can use this form of treatment, which is good news for people who are no longer given access to Opiates for chronic pain management.

Betsy Singer sat down with a physician, Dr. Kyle Kingsley, who is a leading voice for medical cannabis in Minnesota and across the country, and started a program called Minn-Med, which was created to allow seriously-ill Minnesotans to use medical marijuana in order to treat certain conditions.  The program is one of two medical marijuana programs in the state. 

Dr. Kingsley, went in-depth on the rising opioid issue and talked about how medicinal marijuana may help.
