(ABC 6 News) -- On Saturday, a 4-vehicle crash involving 3 motorcycles and a pickup truck delayed travelers on Highway 247, 2 miles east of Highway 63 in Farmington Township. Minnesota State Patrol said the pickup truck was traveling westbound on Highway 247 when it crossed over onto the eastbound lane. In the meantime, 3 Harley Davidson motorcycles traveling eastbound on the same highway when the pickup truck crossed the median, laid down their bikes to avoid a head-on collision with the pick-up truck.
Witnesses told ABC 6 News that Mayo One helicopter took at least one victim and that they saw "a lady kneeling near a body maybe performing CPR."
Authorities stated the occupants of the pickup truck were a 64-year-old man, a 65-year-old woman, and a 15-year-old boy from Pine Island. All 3 were reported as not having any injuries.
The drivers of the motorcycles were identified as two men from Dodge Center and a man from Mankato who was traveling with a woman who was also from Mankato.
One of the drivers from Dodge Center was brought to Mayo Clinic Saint Marys Hospital for non-life threatening injuries. The driver from Mankato was brought to the hospital for life-threatening injuries. The woman who was riding with him did not have any injuries.
Olmsted and Wabasha Counties, Elgin Fire and Ambulance, and Mayo One all assisted in this incident.
