Driver in Mabel crash heading home to continue recovery

(ABC 6 News) - The 19-year-old driver involved in a deadly crash near Mabel on New Year's Day is finally going home.

According to a post on a Facebook page created for Lauren Bedard, after 20 days she's going home to continue her journey to recovery.


According to the post, she'll still have frequent out patient therapies over the next few months but is excited to be going home.

The Minnesota State Patrol said the crash between the car and a semi-truck carrying cattle happened on Highway 44.

Passenger 17-year-old Dylan Delaney was pronounced dead at the scene and passenger 15-year-old Spencer Douglas died last week from his injuries.

Accounts for donations have been set up for all three teens involved in the crash.

The driver of the semi was not hurt.
