(ABC 6 News) -- It is your response to winning or losing that makes you a winner or loser.
Listen carefully to that phrase,
"it is your response to winning or losing that makes you a winner or loser" because it's the premise of this next story.
In an open letter to Minnesota from an observer in Kentucky...a man wrote to the Minneapolis star tribune and the paper printed his letter.
In it, Andrew Grein wrote that he and his 75-year-old father were in Minneapolis for the game against the Eagles Sunday. they both wore Vikings jersey's and Andrew said that from the moment he and his dad got on the subway to go to the game until the time we made it back to our hotel room afterward, they were subjected to constant verbal and physical assault. They were called names he can't repeat, had objects thrown at them and were warned that if the Vikings won, he and his father would be lucky to make it out alive.
He said that he had never been to a sporting event where he feared for my safety until last Sunday. All because I had the audacity to come to the game wearing a Vikings jersey and it wasn't from a handful of Philly fans but many.
He also wrote that he can honestly say that "Minnesota nice" is as good as it gets. The people of Minnesota should be proud of how they conduct themselves with class, character, and friendliness.
