(ABC 6 News) - Logan's Law has officially been launched.

It's a new organ, eye, and tissue donor registry in Iowa named after 15-year-old Logan Luft of Charles City.

Logan died in 2017 and saved many lives by being a donor.

His family worked with the Iowa legislature to craft the bill which passed unanimously last session and was signed into law in May.

The law enables people who buy a fishing or hunting license through the Iowa DNR to register as an organ donor.

An official of the Iowa Organ Donor Network says there are 600 Iowans on a waiting list for an organ.
