(ABC 6 News) – Calm and collected was the tone for Stewartville girls basketball and in their state tournament debut Wednesday, it clearly showed as the Tigers looked to make their presence felt to all.

Nothing quite like the bright lights of the state tourney as Stewartville girls hoops opened their Class AAA run facing the Grand Rapids Thunderhawks.

The Tigers simply too strong to tame as they knock off the Thunderhawks 71-57, and have now won 25 straight games.

Stewartville will face top-seeded Becker at Williams Arena Thursday at noon.

Additional information and highlights will be added to this story this evening.
