UPDATE: Blooming Prairie Man Died of Multiple Gunshot Wounds

(ABC 6 News) - UPDATE:  New information has been released in the investigation of a dead body found on Saturday in Blooming Prairie.

According to the Southern Minnesota Regional Medical Examiner's Office, the victim, 54-year-old David Riess of Blooming Prairie, died of multiple gunshot wounds.

The sheriff's office said Riess' wife, 56-year-old Lois Reiss, is still being sought by law enforcement as a person of interest.

Lois is described as 5'5", 164 lbs. with brown eyes and light blonde hair and is thought to be driving a white, 2005 Cadillac Escalade with Minnesota license plates 864-LAE.

Law enforcement said she is also known to frequent casinos and that she may be armed.

The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension are continuing the investigation of a dead body of a man, discovered on Friday night just south of Blooming Prairie. According to a press release, the death is considered to be suspicious.

The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office and the BCA are looking for a 56-year-old woman as a person of interest in the investigation. Authorities are searching for Lois Riess. She is 5 feet, 5 inches, 165 pounds, with brown eyes and blonde hair.

A release also said Riess may be seen driving a white, 2005 Cadillac Escalade with the license plate 864-LAE.
