We can thank a high pressure system located over the Tennessee/Kentucky area for the humid conditions; winds turn clockwise around a high pressure system which means that as long as it stays in its current position, we'll continue to deal with the southerly winds. They'll bring Gulf moisture northwards with dew points expected to be in the upper 60s to mid 70s by Tuesday and are expected to stay there through Wednesday. We'll see a bit of relief Wednesday into Thursday as a weak low passes through but a stronger low will push that high further south... but won't move through our area until this weekend.
