UPDATE: Name Released of Austin Man Killed in Highway 52 Crash

(ABC 6 News) -- According to the Minnesota State Patrol, 23-year-old Andrew Davidson was killed in a collision on Highway 52 north of Harmony Tuesday afternoon.

The Minnesota State Patrol also says, Davidson died after his car crossed lines, hitting a milk truck straight on. It happened between 160th Street and 178th Street..

The driver of the milk truck was not hurt.

According to Minnesota State Patrol Sergeant Troy Christianson, 23-year-old Andrew Davidson was killed in a collision on Highway 52 north of Harmony Tuesday afternoon.

Sgt. Christianson said a car was traveling southbound near mile marker 12 when it crossed lanes and struck a milk truck driving northbound head-on.

According to the state patrol, a 23-year-old Austin man was killed. The victim's name has not been released. The driver of the milk truck was uninjured.

Sgt. Christianson said the driver of the car has only been identified as a Minnesota man in his early 20's at this time.

State Patrol is still conducting an accident reconstruction and Highway 52 in both directions remains closed in that stretch north of Harmony and South of Preston.

According to a Minnesota Department of Transportation traffic map, the crash is between 160th Street and 178th Street.

An officer at the scene told an ABC 6 News reporter that the Minnesota State Patrol is in charge and are still processing the incident.

Harmony Ambulance, Harmony Fire Department, Fillmore County Sheriff's Department and the Minnesota State Patrol have all responded.
