(ABC 6 News)-- Special elections didn't change the tilt of power at the state capitol. Candidates aren't necessarily hitting campaign trails just yet, but current lawmakers and party leaders are beginning to make the rounds.
"We have in Minnesota two of the biggest pickup opportunities in Congress for the national Republicans," said Minnesota Republican party chairperson Jennifer Carnahan.
Selected delegates in Olmsted County Convention, happening March 3, will advance to the state election in June.
Carnahan said, "This race is going to be the center and forefront of politics during this election cycle."
