(ABC 6 News) -- A carbon monoxide leak caused an evacuation at an apartment complex in southwest Rochester late Thursday night. 

According to the Rochester Fire Department, around 10 p.m. a call came in about a CO leak at the 2nd Street Villas on the 600 block of 2nd Street SW. Then a second call was received about a gas leak in the basement.

Minnesota Energy responded to conduct tests and the Fire Department ventilated the building. Residents were evacuated as a precaution, but have sense been let back inside.

Minnesota Energy officials are investigating what caused the leak.
