(ABC 6 News) - The Minnesota State Patrol has identified the man killed in a semi versus motorcycle crash in Eyota Thursday.
The crash happened at 6:24 p.m. on Highway 42 between 2nd Street Southwest and 19th Street Southeast.
The Minnesota State Patrol says 49-year-old Bret Christopherson and his passenger, 48-year-old Lori Ann Jean Danielson, both from Rochester, were riding a motorcycle north on Highway 42 when they collided with a semi. Danielson was flown to St. Marys with what are considered life-threatening injuries.
Christopherson died at the scene. The 30-year-old driver of the semi was not injured.
Olmsted County Sheriff's Office, Eyota Fire, Eyota Ambulance, Dover Fire, Mayo One and Gundersen AIR have all responded to the scene.
