(ABC 6 News) - Local energy cooperatives have issued a peak alert day for Wednesday due to high demand on the Midwest Regional Grid.
Freeborn-Mower Cooperative Services, MiEnergy Cooperative, Heartland Power Cooperative and People’s Energy Cooperative have issued the alert starting at 2 p.m. until 8 p.m.
The cooperatives are asking members to conserve electricity during this time period. Members enrolled in the Dual Fuel or Water Heater Load Management Programs will also be affected during this time.
