An overnight, early Tuesday round of wintry mix will cause more issues for those in the Mississippi River Valley and further east into Wisconsin. But some of that mix may be felt locally too.
A freezing drizzle will be possible after 3 AM, coming in very minor amounts. With addition of some ice crystals in the clouds we should see some of that drizzle change to snowflakes closer to sunrise, also in minor amounts. Little to no accumulation is expected for both, but as we know it doesn't take much of that freezing precip to make things slippery. We'll monitor the travel scenes into Wednesday morning, but at this point I'm confident the morning commute won't see much of an impact.
East into Wisconsin, up to an inch or inch and a half of snow with a light glaze of ice is possible.
