(ABC 6 NEWS)--Last week, Mayo Clinic and the Salvation Army teamed up for a donation matching event, where Mayo Clinic matched all donations left in The Salvation Army's red kettles.  One man left a rather large donation in a kettle--a $10,000 check.

Betsy Singer sat down with Salvation Army Majors, Bob and Lisa Mueller, and chatted about that surprise check as well as about the Salvation Army program. Singer also asked the two how they got started in the program and why. Major Bob Mueller said he went from "designing and building robots to redesigning and rebuilding people's lives".
