UPDATE: Dodge Co. Sheriff says County Road 22 incident is "a very active ongoing investigation," no threat to the public

(ABC 6 News) - UPDATE: 5:15 p.m. 8/13/20: The Dodge County Sheriff's Office released a statement about a situation that shut down County Road 22 for several hours Wednesday.

"The Dodge County Sheriff's Office is in the middle of a very active ongoing investigation regarding an incident that took place on the Milliken Creek Bridge on County Road 22, approximately 1/2 mile east of Highway 57 yesterday afternoon.  At this time, we are still unable to share any additional information.  As soon as more details become available, we will release more information to the media."


Sheriff Rose also told ABC 6 News that there is no threat to the public.

County Road 22 in Dodge County, otherwise known as 562nd St. was blocked off several hours Wednesday afternoon and evening.  Heavy law enforcement presence was in the area and Mayo One could be seen landing and taking off.

The road was blocked off from around 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday.

The Dodge County Sheriff's Office called it an "active situation" Wednesday, but has not given any other information.

This is a developing situation, ABC 6 News will bring you more information as it becomes available.
