(ABC 6 News)- A former NFL player pairs up with a Minnesota musician to re-create the Minnesota music scene. Mick Sterling and Ben Utecht partner up to be Andy Williams and Bing Crosby to make a Christmas show in Rochester on Friday.

Sterling started off doing a variety of shows in the Twin Cities when a mutual friend connected Sterling and Utecht to then produce a show together. The show features a large band to perform the well-known Christmas songs. The show is part of a fundraiser that Sterling started up where the organization helps people who are in a financial crisis. The organization is called 30 days and it uses the donations they have to pay for bills that people can get behind on like water, utility, or groceries.

The Andy and Bing Christmas show will be at the new mayo Civic Center.

The show is just the start of Utecht's plans as he also has a book out to explain his spiritual journey and how he copes with the brain injuries the NFL career left him.

ABC 6 Betsy Singer talked to Utecht in studio about the training he had for the injuries and what it inspired him to do to advocate brain health and talk about the concussions that can happen on the field.

ABC Hannah Tiede also spoke to Utecht about how he copes with the injuries.
