(ABC 6 News) - A 29-year-old man is facing several charges after allegedly stealing a vehicle from Chatfield and driving to Rochester on Friday.

According to Olmsted County Sheriff's Captain Scott Behrns, deputies made a traffic stop near 19th St. NW and West Circle Dr. NW around 7:40 p.m. Saturday. The vehicle was believed to have been stolen out of Chatfield on Friday.

Cpt. Behrns said Cody Haakenson told the deputy he had been stuck in Chatfield the day prior, found the vehicle with keys in it and drove off with it.

After a search of the vehicle, Cpt. Behrns said around 2 grams of meth was found under the front seat.

Cpt. Behrns said investigators are also trying to determine if there was stolen property in the back of the vehicle as well.

Haakenson was arrested and is facing potential charges of possession of stolen property, 5th-degree possession of a controlled substance and terroristic threats, all of which are felonies, and a misdemeanor for driving after revocation.
