(ABC 6 News) - Thursday, Channel One and Think Mutual Bank are hosting the 15th annual Empty Bowls event, serving up a simple meal of soup and bread from local restaurants and bakeries.

Empty Bowls is the biggest fundraiser in Channel One Regional Food Bank's fight to end hunger.

Local celebrities and community leaders will be serving up the soup, including Laura Lee from ABC 6 News.

Attendees get to take home a hand-painted bowl as a reminder of those who go hungry in our community every day.

New this year is the Empty Bowls After-Hours. The additional event will include a DJ, cash bar, games, prizes, and appetizers from local restaurants.

The day's events are held at Mayo Civic Center from 11 am - 2 pm for lunch, and 5 - 8 pm for after hours. Tickets can be purchased on their website.
