(ABC 6 News)-- Law enforcement, state patrol, and city leaders came to surprise a little boy from Arkansas who was treated at Mayo Clinic because word on the street was that he wanted to become a police officer.
On Friday, Louie Schneider was able to be an honorary member of the Rochester police force after a long morning of surgery. His mother, Kristy Schneider, said Louie's body suffers a form of autonomic failure.
To brighten up his visit to Rochester, members of the Rochester Police Department, Minnesota State Patrol, and other local officials gifted Louie badges and an official declaration of him being an honorary member for a day.
The main message of the celebration was compassion and collaboration.
