UPDATE: Ground Beef Recall Now Includes IA, MN Aldi Stores

(ABC 6 News) - UPDATE:  The USDA has issued an updated list of grocery locations potentially carrying recalled ground beef from Cargill Meat Solutions.

The list now includes Aldi stores in 8 states including Iowa and Minnesota.

Previous story:

Cargill Meat Solutions is recalling over 132,000 pounds of ground beef products due to E. coli 026 contamination concerns.

The ground beef items were produced and packaged on June 21, 2018 and have the establishment number "EST.86R" inside the USDA mark of inspection.

So far, 17 illnesses and one death have been reported with illness onset dates ranging from July 5 to July 25.

The United States Department of Agriculture said Cargill distributes products to four different grocery chains including Sam's Club stores nationwide and Target stores in Iowa.
