Man Arrested for Reportedly Assaulting, Holding Woman Against Her Will

(ABC 6 News) - A Byron man is facing multiple charges after reportedly holding a woman hostage, assaulting her and stealing her truck.

The victim told deputies with the Olmsted County Sheriff's Office that 28-year-old Dylan Kaiser, who is known to her, had held her against her will, choked her and forced her to give him the keys to her truck.

The victim said Tuesday night she was held hostage at a residence on the 600 block of 1st Ave NE in Byron, telling deputies at one point she attempted to escape through a window but Kaiser dragged her back inside.

The victim told deputies she was eventually able to escape and call for help.

Kaiser was found in the stolen truck and taken into custody.

Deputies did note that Kaiser has an ignition interlock device on his vehicle, which requires a driver to blow into a breathalyzer before their able to start the vehicle.

According to the Olmsted County Adult Detention Center roster he's facing nearly a dozen possible charges including domestic assault by strangulation, kidnapping to facilitate felony or flight, false imprisonment and theft of a motor vehicle.
