A blocking pattern has marred the week with clouds over the region as we're close enough to a storm system cut off from the jet stream to our south east. This pattern is breaking, but another is expected to form next week. Not one, two but three cut off lows will occur stretching the Pacific to Atlantic oceans. All three will be be wandering around without the jet stream to help steer them.
What does that mean? Typically it means we're stuck with what we've got. Days on end with similar conditions. So if you look long term, the forecast does hold that similiarity to it. But it also means forecasting is very difficult. There's a lot of conflicting data on how to handle the long range right now. That leaves a higher amount of uncertainty to the going forecast.
