Wind has ramped up with local wind gusts commonly in the 35-45 mph range from the west/northwest.  Blowing /drifting snow and whiteout conditions have created quite the problems on our roads.  We've received sporadic word of some local counties pulling plows from roads.  At the state level, Iowa DOT and Minnesota DOT continue to treat and clear roads.  Still, travel is not advised.  Rural county and local roads will be in the worst shape in wide open spaces.  Visibility at times will drop to zero.  Blizzard conditions will persist into the evening.

A Blizzard Warning is in effect until 6 PM tonight.  But conditions on the travel scene will take will into Sunday to fully improve.
