Big Reward Now Offered for Info on Lois Riess

(ABC 6 News) - A reward is now being offered for information leading to the arrest of Lois Riess.

As we've reported, Riess is the Blooming Prairie woman accused of shooting her husband to death in Minnesota and then killing a Pamela Hutchinson in Fort Myers Beach, Florida in order to assume her identity.

The US Marshals Service updated the Riess case to a Major Case today and is now offering a reward of up to $5,000.

Florida Crime Stoppers is also offering a reward of up to $1,000. 

Riess is believed to be driving Hutchinson’s vehicle, a white Acura TL, last seen with Florida license plate Y37-TAA.  

Anyone who has had any recent contact with Lois Riess or who has any information on her whereabouts is urged to contact the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension Tip-line at 1-877-996-6222. Callers can remain anonymous.  

The Dodge County Sheriff’s office and the Dodge County Attorney are preparing second-degree murder charges against Reiss for the murder of her husband David.  Those charges are expected to be filed within the next few days.

Reiss is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached. Anyone who sees her should call 9-1-1. 

The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office will continue to work with the Minnesota BCA, US Marshals, and the Lee County Sheriff’s Office in Florida to locate and apprehend Riess.
