(ABC 6 News) -- An Austin teen hurt in a crash last week remains hospitalized.

According to a GoFundMe page for Gavin Brady, he was airlifted to Mayo Clinic Saint Marys following the single-car crash on November 11.  The page states he suffered a traumatic brain injury, two brain bleeds, a skull fracture and broken leg.

The Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office said they received a call just after 8 p.m. of a Chevy Silverado in a ditch on 195th Street just west of the Mower County line. The call had originally gone to Mower County, officials said.

The driver told responders the pick-up truck, which had five passengers, was moving at about 60 miles per hour when a deer ran out in the road, causing him to swerve into the ditch and hit a rock pile or embankment, the sheriff’s office said.

Gavin's mother told ABC 6 News that a friend pulled all six teens out of the truck.  She also said some of the seats were sheared off and thrown into the windshield during the crash.

The money raised will go to the family as the parents have not been working so they can stay with their son at the hospital.   To donate, click here.
