(ABC 6 News) - A Maplewood man faces charges after he was found slumped over the steering wheel of his car at an Austin convenience store.
Police were called to the Kwik Trip store in the 1400 block of 4th Street NW around 6:15 Saturday morning on a report of a man inside his car at a gas pump.
Police and a Gold Cross ambulance crew responded, and found 30-year-old Christopher Christenson inside the vehicle.
Police say they had difficulty awakening Christenson, and that he was incoherent and difficult to understand.
Officers also noticed a container inside the vehicle, and when they asked what it contained, Christenson reportedly refused to answer.
The substance later tested positive for heroin, about 1.2 grams.
Christenson was taken to the Mower County jail on a charge of felony fifth-degree drug possession. He could also face a charge of DWI.
