Austin Police Chief Dave Mckichan said Loving was wanted on two Minnesota warrants for “failure to register” and a Wisconsin warrant related to a crime of violence.

Officers used a flash-bang grenade outside the house as a diversion and took Loving into custody without incident.

62-year old Patricia Briones, was also taken into custody when officers found narcotics at the residence. McKichan said it was Briones’ home.

McKichan said that because of concerns of potential violence, Austin police officers, members of the joint Austin Police / Mower County Sheriff’s Office “Special Incidence Response Team”, members of the Southeast Minnesota Violent Crime Enforcement Team and the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension took part in the operation.
