Austin Police Searching for 2 Men Possibly Connected to Stolen Car

(ABC 6 News) - Austin police are looking to speak with two men who allegedly left a car reported stolen out of Missouri at a convenience store in Austin.

Police said an officer on patrol spotted a car at the Apollo III convenience store on the west edge of Austin around 5:00 a.m. Thursday.

The officer ran the Missouri plates and learned that the car had been reported stolen out of Lebanon, Missouri.

A clerk at the store told investigators that two men had left the car in the parking lot Wednesday morning after saying it had broken down.

The men left the location in an Austin taxi and police said they are working with the company to determine where the men were dropped off.
