(ABC 6 News) - Students at IJ Holton and Ellis Middle School received a very important presentation Tuesday from one of their peers.
6th grader Aiden Falcon shared with his classmates all about how he lives with Spina Bifida. It's something he was diagnosed with when he was born, and since then has faced a road of challenges.
In addition to multiple surgeries, Aiden said it's also difficult for some people to understand him and his disability.
"If they learn more about it maybe they won't make fun of me for it because it's more of a different disability than normal. Mines more of an out there thing. Everyone can see mine in the summer," said Aiden.
The presentation was a long time in the making. Aiden said he and his Mom have had the idea since he was at least in Kindergarten.
Aiden also said he hopes that sharing more about himself has helped others to find the positive in the things that make them unique.
"I feel like some people took home something about differences. Everyone is different no matter what and people should treat others the same," he said.
