According to Captain John Sherwin, a few men started causing problems during a house party.  Another party-goer tried to play "peacemaker" by offering one of the men a bottle of beer, said Captain Sherwin, but the man took the bottle and threw it at the person.

The bottle broke, said Captain Sherwin, and that's when the suspect grabbed it, again, and started stabbing the victim with it.  Another man joined in and began assaulting the victim, said Captain Sherwin.

A friend of the victim then jumped in, said Captain Sherwin, and got knocked out by one of the suspects.

Both victims were taken to the hospital.

Authorities said the first victim was treated for cuts to his head and ear, and the second victim was treated for a fractured skull and minor brain bleed.

Rochester Police identified one of the suspects as 25-year-old Todd Banks of Rochester. He was located at a Shell station on 4th St. and 11th Ave.

Police are still looking for the other suspect, but Captain Sherwin said they have a good idea of who he is.
