(ABC 6 News)-- A high school football coach was arrested on Saturday for driving under the influence.

According to Dodge County Sheriff's Office, Kasson Mantorville Head Football Coach Broc Threinen was stopped at approximately 1:51 a.m. on Sept. 7 after he was seen drifting off the road and towards the shoulder twice.

Threinen reportedly told law enforcement he was going home from a friend's house in Kasson. The criminal complaint stated law enforcement saw an open Coors Light beer can in the center console of the cup holder in Threinen's vehicle.

When asked if he drank any alcohol before driving, Threinen reportedly said, "not tonight."

In the criminal complaint, he swayed and was unsteady when asked to exit the vehicle by police. Threinen was then asked again if he had been drinking that night and he said, "a couple beers."

Threinen was taken to the Dodge County Sheriff's Office for a Breath Test Advisory. Threinen reportedly asked to speak with his attorney. After making his phone calls, police read the Breath Test Advisory again to Threinen. The Breath Test concluded at 2:54 a.m. and measured .21 g/210 L.

Kasson-Mantorville School Superintendent Mark Matuska sent ABC 6 News a statement:

We have placed Broc Threinen on administrative leave for the remainder of the season for his coaching duties and on administrative leave until October 10 for his Activities Directors position.

Our Defensive Coordinator, Joel Swanson, will be interim coach for this week as we continue to make decisions related to the football team.  With Joel's previous varsity Coaching experience, we are confident in his and the rest of the coaching staff's ability to represent the KoMets well at all levels of our program.

Activities Directors responsibilities will be shared by Trent Langemo, our High School Principal and Josh Larsen, our Middle School Principal.  I am extremely confident in their abilities to continue to add value to our many successful programs at KM during this time frame.
