It's a sign the cooler season is upon us. During the summer, it's not often that we see such odd temperature trends each day. It is far more common in the colder parts of the year due to frontal passages.
Last week, we had a day with steady/falling temperatures. We'll do it again on Tuesday. A cold front on the move tonight will provide a wind shift to the northwest allowing a cooler airmass in.
Official high temperatures on the day will be in the low 60s, just after midnight. We'll fall into the low 50s by daybreak and stay at similar marks through afternoon. If there's any temperature rises, it would only be by a couple of degrees. Lows on the day will occur just before midnight in the middle 40s.
