(ABC 6 News) - Albert Lea police arrest 15-year-old for reported social media threat.
According to the police department, around 5:46 p.m. Tuesday dispatch received several calls about a threatening social medial post.
Police said officers determined the suspect made and shared a social media post indicating she wanted to "shoot up" the Albert Lea High School.
Officers made contact with the 15-year-old and arrested her for felony threats of violence.
Police said she was taken to a juvenile detention center pending her first court appearance.
The ALPD also issued a statement that they will continue to work with the school district to, "ensure a safe environment for students as they return to school next week."
