(ABC 6 News) - A new plan for the City of Albert Lea and Freeborn County are in the works.
According to a press release from the Albert Lea Economics Development Agency (ALEDA) the city, county, Albert Lea - Freeborn County Chamber of Commerce and the Albert Lea Convention and Visitors Bureau will all work together to "bring together a broad group of stakeholders to create a five-year economic development strategic plan."
The release said the development process will be led by Ady Advantage, a company that specializes in economic development and relocating and expanding companies.
ALEDA is inviting local business owners and business leaders in the area to be a part of the process. A series of stakeholder discussions will take place on October 8.
Later this fall ALEDA said there will be opportunities for public input as well.
