(ABC 6 News) - If you or a loved one is struggling with an addiction, there’s an event happening on Saturday, Feb. 24 offering hope.
Recovering is Happening, a local non-profit that provides life-long support for those living in recovery is holding an event.
There will be testimonies, entertainment, and food along with a balloon release vigil to honor those who have lost their lives because of addiction.
Charles Jackson is a recovered addict and said it’s his turn to help others at this event.
"Because I used to be on heroin and crack cocaine and I know that it is hard to come off of being addicted, you know it took me 30 years to get off and I just needed someone to have hope in me" Charles Jackson.
It will be at the Recovery is Happening building in Rochester. The event is free and doors open at 5:30 pm. everyone is encouraged to come.
