Ready or not, it is here! The snow chance we've been talking about all-week is finally here, prompting and keeping our ALERT DAY status. Snow will continue to move in from the west through the morning, picking up in coverage & intensity as we move into the late morning, through the afternoon & evening, before wrapping up shortly after 12 AM Saturday. The trend continues to show the heaviest snow missing us to the west, where parts of SW MN & NW IA could see upwards of 10" or more! Locally, we'll see the heaviest amounts adding up along and west of I-35, where 6-8" will be possible across those communities. A sharp gradient of 2-6" will be lining up heaviest west, lesser amounts east, between I-35 & Highway 52. Closer to the Mississippi River & locations into WI will really miss out this time, with snowfall totals under 2" expected that way.
