Freezing drizzle has caused difficult travel already Tuesday morning. Snow for the late morning/afternoon will continue the travel concerns for today. Timing out the snow, the first wave will arrive around 10 AM - 12 PM, with the second around 3 PM, lasting overnight. The second round will bring the heaviest snowfall to the area, which continues to look like it will fall south of I-90. Having said that, 3" to 5" of snow for most of the area, with the exception for those who will see the second band develop, mainly along and south of a line from Mason City to Charles City to La Cross, WI. Those locations are more likely to get into the 5" to 8" range, thanks to that second, heavier band of snow.
