(ABC 6 News) - A 15-year-old boy was arrested after Thursday morning’s soft lockdown at John Marshall High School.

Police received information the teenager may have had a B.B. gun at school. Officers were able to recover it and the lockdown was lifted just after 10 a.m.

The Rochester Police Department believes the boy is responsible for another incident earlier this week.

Around 6:30 Tuesday evening, officers were called to an apartment complex near Civic Center Drive at 6th Avenue.

A 16-year-old at the scene told officers he and a friend went to buy marijuana from someone at the apartment complex when a man came out and shot his friend with a B.B. gun. The 20-year-old victim had two B.B. pellets lodged under the skin on his face and one in his back.  He was taken to the hospital.

The 15-year-old John Marshall student - suspected of Tuesday’s B.B. gun shooting - is being held on gross misdemeanor charges of violating his probation and second-degree assault.
