50 degrees is in the forecast for the first time this year for Friday. A couple more slam-dunk opportunities materialize into the weekend too. It's almost a sure bet we'll make it. Think it's been a while since we've been so warm? You're right. The last time the air temp reached the 50s was back on November 1st when we hit 54°. The last 137 (including today) have fallen short. That's the 11th longest stretch to accomplish that in recorded history for Rochester. It's the longest since 2007-08 when 141 consecutive days failed to make that mark. In case you're wondering, the longest was 152 days in 1978-79.
