PEARL HARBOR, Hawaii (AP) - The commander of Navy Region Hawaii said the military community has received an outpouring of love and support from the people of Hawaii following this week’s deadly shooting at the Pearl Harbor shipyard. Rear Admiral Robert Chadwick said their thoughts and prayers remain with the families of the victims and everyone affected after an active duty sailor shot three people before turning the gun on himself. Two people died and another is hospitalized. Chadwick spoke during a somber remembrance ceremony in Honolulu on Saturday marking the 78th anniversary of another tragedy at the Hawaii base, the 1941 Japanese attack that sent the United States into World War II.
