(ABC 6 News) -- The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service announced Saturday, Washington Beef, LLC, out of Washington state, is recalling approximately 30,260 pounds of ground beef chubs products.  Company officials say these beef products may be contaminated with “extraneous materials.”

The meat products were produced on Dec. 27, 2018, and include a “Use or Freeze by” date of 01/20/19. The products subject to recall are marked with the establishment number “EST. 235” inside the USDA mark of inspection. These items were shipped nationwide.

A consumer complained to the company on February 28, 2019. Washington Beef said, in a statement, there have been no reports of any injuries or adverse reactions to the consumption of the products.

FSIS officials are concerned that some of the beef products may still be in consumers’ freezers.

If you have these products in your possession, officials say, do not eat them. The products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.
