Now in an one on one interview with ABC 6 News, we are getting insight on how the state is prepating for the upcoming election.

Gov. Walz says Minnesota has the highest number of people voting, and that the proven and secure system of absentee voting has been working for decades.

While it is a pandemic, the Governor says he wants people to get out and vote, and do it early.

"What I saw was this is our chance to bring country back together its a chance to get rid of some of the partisianship its a chance to protect health care to tackle this pandemic and get our economy back going again," Walz said.

It is recommended that individuals request an absentee ballot early if you are not doing in-person voting.

The Postal Service is expecting a surplus of ballots because of the on-going pandemic.
