(ABC 6 NEWS) - Candy and trick-or-treaters are fun parts of Halloween, but this year to stay safe, those traditions will need to be done differently, according to Olmsted County Public Health.
"The ones that are handing out candy, we are asking that candy be prepackaged and put in a place where the trick or treaters can come and take it themselves and walk away, so there is no physical contact. Limiting those opportunities for a crowd to occur, so using an entire driveway to hand out candy versus having individuals come up to your door," said COVID Safety Officer Kristina Wright-Peterson with Olmsted County Public Health.
