No one hurt in snowplow, pickup crash Tuesday afternoon in Mower County

(ABC 6 News) – No one was hurt after a snowplow and pickup collided in Mower County Tuesday afternoon.

The Mower County Sheriff’s Office said the driver of the pickup was headed north on County Road 19 and wasn’t able to stop at the stop sign at 220th St because of snow and/or ice on the road. The driver estimated he was going about 20 mph prior to the crash.

The driver told deputies he could see a snowplow coming toward them and honked to get their attention but the crash was unavoidable.

There was minor damage from the passenger side front bumper to the tail light on the same side of the pickup. There was also minor damage to the driver’s side of the snowplow. Both vehicles are insured. Neither driver was hurt.
