(ABC 6 News) - Some sports teams will be able to start practicing together next week as the state loosens more COVID-19 restrictions.
On Friday, the Minnesota Department of Health released new guidelines titled, "COVID-19 Sports Guidance for Youth and Adults". MDH said games and scrimmages can begin on June 24 or later for outdoor sports, while indoor sports need to wait until July 1.
Teams can start practicing at full strength beginning June 24 and that's for both indoor and outdoor sports. The department also recommended that sports phase in that have been on a hiatus due to the pandemic.
